[1968] 加山雄三 - 暗い波/ある日渚に

Probably this 7" was the first Japanese single I bought in my life, and the first Japanese bossa nova I've heard. About a year ago I recieved a CD packed with 60's Japanese pop and jazz - I still thank the guy who sent the CD very much :) - and the A side bossa was beautiful, which eventually made me dig for this single.

加山雄三(Kayama Yūzo) was a singer and actor in Japan, famous for his 若大将(Wakadaisho) film series. This single's songs were both played in the film in one of the series, the 「リオの若大将」( Rio no wakadaisho - Young Guy in Rio ) released in 1968.

It was hard to find this 7", but I eventually found it on disclegend.com. The vinyl has no scratches, the sleeve is also in great shape, which makes it more valuable.

The vinyl is colored with red.
The A side, 暗い波(Kurai Nami - Dark Waves) is a Japanese bossa, which I've uploaded in Youtube once. The B side, ある日渚に(Aruhi Nagisani - Someday in the Shore) is also a great song, and it's the main theme of the movie 「リオの若大将」.
